A little peak into my world.....

In my "spare" time this summer I have been catching up on "to do" stuff around my house. I finally got my entire wrap around porch painted, banisters, and floor and I'm so happy. It looks so fresh and clean!! We have had an interesting summer here in Texas because of all the rain. My grass is green and my flowers are still blooming and it has not hit 100 yet.
My cottage garden is still pretty (not usual for end of July) and a little "wild", just how I like it....

Amy your wrap around porch is beautiful! I've always wanted one. It's so nice to get a glimspe into each other's lives.
By the way, thank you for stopping by my blog and saying hello. I appreciate your kindness. I know I'll get the hang of this soon!

Hi Amy!
I've been so busy visiting my grandson, and playing "house maid" for my sweet daughter, it seems every time I attempt to write you one of my Sweeties calls my name~
It's so nice to know a fellow "Raspberry Rose Seller" will be walking the same path as I. I'm still waiting for my designer to make her way down her creative list to my name. I'm so impatient! lol... I will be more than happy to help you with any thing I'm able to regarding a new website. I'm so afraid! lol.. It all looks so foreign, especially the "Cart", but if I learn something, and can share I will write to you.
I want to tell you, your home & gardens are beautiful! I hope we have better weather next summer, we've experienced drought almost two months, so my gardens are less than desirable.
Please keep in touch, it's so nice to have a friend in the trenches!
In Friendship,
Michelle

A little about my textile art.....

My vintage fabric collages combine my love of vintage textiles and my love of words. Words are powerful and a beautiful phrase can evoke such emotion. My collage designs are built around the wise words of an old poet or author, which I handstitch in a simple lettering. I use vintage fabrics, laces, buttons, etc...all handstitched in a unique way to mirror the words - there is always a little mystery with the finished product, but if you look closely you will see the simple beauty of the words reflected in the design. I collect old vintage frames throughout the year to frame each collage in. Below is a sampling of some of my pieces....
